Growth Never Stops: 11 Years as a Top Workplace

Bonny Calfy | December 11, 2023

Since its founding in 1998, Paycom has prioritized its people.

A quarter-century later, Paycom is celebrating its recent recognition by The Oklahoman as a 2023 Top Workplace in Oklahoma. And this isn’t the first time we’ve been recognized. This nomination represents our eleventh straight year as a Top Workplace in our home state.

It’s no accident that Paycom has spent over a decade on the acclaimed list. This accolade is a direct reflection of our dedication to fostering a positive culture and creating unmatched opportunities for team members.

After 11 years, it’s clear Paycom has made an impact when it comes to providing an environment where team members can grow and innovate. Here’s how Paycom has, yet again, secured its spot on the list.

Over a decade at the top

First, it’s helpful to know how companies are nominated for this prestigious list. The Top Workplace award is based on anonymous employee feedback collected through surveys assessing 15 drivers of engaged cultures.

And what did Paycom do to rank so highly in this survey? Part of Paycom’s mission is improving the way businesses operate nationwide, and there’s no better place to start than right in our own home.

At Paycom’s Oklahoma City headquarters, team members are given the tools they need to succeed both personally and professionally, including:

  • training and upskilling opportunities
  • leadership development programs open to all employees
  • $1-per-pay-period health insurance for employees
  • on-site well-being advisors
  • access to physical, financial and mental wellness programs

Paycom equips team members with the right perks, benefits and support so they can live their best life at work and at home.

“Paycom has cultivated an environment where its employees are proud of what they accomplish day in and out,” said Braden M., a software quality assurance analyst. “Having support from every level — be it benefits, well-equipped managers or helpful technology — has empowered my career and allowed me to excel in ways I never expected.”

The best leaders in the business

Paycom’s headquarters houses talent across teams whose work is integral to clients’ success and continued innovation.

Innovation means different things at Paycom — from developing a game-changing HR tool like Beti®, our employee-driven payroll experience, to philanthropic giving and community service and fostering an inclusive workplace. Paycom understands the significance of maintaining momentum for its clients, but our workforce also needs a positive motion of its own.

“Paycom’s culture and technology are dynamic,” said Aschley M., a talent acquisition and DEI strategy partner. “Our people have grit and determination, and they bring a spirit of innovation and drive each day when they show up. It’s exciting to see the type of shift we’re making in the HR tech industry through our technology, and we know we are just getting started.”

Because Paycom’s culture is based on a shared mission and values, the Oklahoma City headquarters isn’t the only Paycom location reaching the top this year. Paycom’s Texas Operations Center, which opened in Grapevine, Texas, in 2021, was recently recognized as a Top Workplace in the competitive Dallas-Fort Worth area for the second year in a row.
